AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) is a terrible disease that affects the immune system. It is caused by HIV (the human immunodeficiency virus). Although there are now treatments available that can slow down the progression of the disease, there is still no known cure for AIDS. Treatment can also be difficult to access in some parts of the world, which is why it is so important to prevent HIV infections to begin with.

This is why Games.co.za approached loveLife.org.za, the largest national Aids prevention initiative for young people in South Africa. Through its outreach programmes and multi-media campaigns, loveLife is reaching out to youth to motivate them to Make their Move and lead healthy lives for HIV-free futures. With a better future and real opportunities in reach, people are less likely to put themselves at risk of getting the virus. That's what loveLife is all about!
