Tetris was invented in Russia by Alexey Pajitnov. The name Tetris refers to the fact that the blocks in tetris are all made up out of four cubes (from the Greek \"tetra-\"), and to tennis, which was apparently Pajitnov\'s favourite sport. Tetris became the most popular game ever when it was adapted for the Nintendo Gameboy and delivered along with the purchase of the Gameboy itself. The idea of Tetris is to rotate the blocks so that they all fit together neatly, creating lines. When a line is complete it vanishes, leaving you more room to play. The blocks keep coming down faster and faster though. Good luck!
