How many pips on a die?

Dice are thought to have originated in India, about 5000 years ago. From there they spread to Persia, China, and the rest of the world. They were first made out the bones and hooves of cattle. Today our dice are mostly made out of plastic, or, as in these dice game, computerized random number generators.
